headstrong & carrying on

(part 1)

I work at a place that makes salads and quesadillas. We charge a base price for the salad/quesadilla and then extra for meat or avocado if the customer wants those.

So today after work I was standing there because I came back to get a salad for myself and someone in front of me was paying, so the cashier asked him if he’d had any avocado or meat on the salad. After he’d finished paying, the lady that had paid before him (who already had her quesadilla) came back up to the register and said, “I heard you ask him if he had any meat on his salad - I don’t think you charged me for my chicken.” And then paid for it, even though she could’ve just walked out the door.

I’m glad there are people like her in the world.
